An exceptional wine growing terroir in Provence
Provence, the historic cradle of French winegrowing, cultivates a winegrowing tradition that goes back 2,600 years. With a thousand-year-old heritage and know-how handed down from generation to generation, its wines tell the story of a unique winegrowing terroir in Provence.

The heritage of Provencal winemaking expertise
2,600 years ago, the Phocaeans introduced the first vines to France. Later, the Romans perfected viticultural techniques and spread them throughout their empire, as witnessed by the remains of the ancient port of Olbia.
Provençal wine is a centuries-old heritage. A tradition that has gradually shaped recognized appellations such as AOP Côtes de Provence. This expertise is based on a unique terroir and rigorous quality criteria.
Provence, rich in geological diversity, is divided into two main areas: to the north, limestone soils shaped by erosion, and facing the sea, crystalline soils. These features have a direct influence on the quality of the wines produced in Provence.
Our ideal terroir conditions at Carqueiranne
Château Carqueiranne enjoys ideal climatic conditions for its vines: generous sunshine, moderate temperatures, and Mistral winds that reduce the presence of parasites and diseases. This setting is conducive to environmentally-friendly agro-ecology, and the vineyards have been awarded High Environmental Value (HVE) certification.
What’s more, the sea breezes provide natural irrigation and subtle salinity for the grape varieties grown on the estate’s 18 hectares.

A sustainable approach to land parcels in Provence
Château Carqueiranne harmoniously blends Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Rolle, Clairette, Ugni Blanc, Viognier, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
In addition to the vines, the estate cultivates orange, olive, fig, lavender and peony trees. This regenerative approach to the environment is supported by a dedicated farm team of four full-time employees
